08.08.2011 Subotica ambassadorial team

Representatives of the ambassadorial team for promotion of investment potentials of Subotica, held a meeting today with the competent authorities in the local self-government and companies which conduct business in the biggest city in north Bačka. They were introduced with the investment potentials and incentives that are available to investors who decide to build facilities in some of the city’s industrial zones. The team consists of representatives of Israel, National alliance for local economic development (NALED) and „Tigar" corporation from Pirot.
- On today’s meeting, we have introduced our guests with the investment potentials of our city and a conversation about further activities of the ambassadorial team has been conducted. I am more than happy with the results of the conversations and soon I expect concrete results, said the mayor Saša Vučinić.
Deputy Ambassador of Israel in Serbia, Ejal Naor, expressed his content for being a part of a team that will promote Subotica as well as for the idea of organizing ambassadorial teams.
- Investors from Israel have been present in Subotica for years and now we are working on identifying the key advantages that could attract some of them to Subotica. What companies from Israel offer and what we believe might bring results in Subotica, are agriculture, high technology for water treatment, said Naor.
Jelena Petković, executive director of the „Tigar” corporation made a parallel between Pirot, where the headquarters of her company are and Subotica.
- Both cities are on corridor 10 and that is a very important precondition for investments. Subotica offers a wide range of opportunities to investors and it is certain that in the future, besides „Tigar" and Pirot we will promote this beautiful city as well, emphasized Jelena Petković.
The initiator for creating ambassadorial teams is NALED. Program director of the Alliance, Jelena Bojović, said that the main aim of this team is to make a positive lunge in the way of promoting when investments are in question.
- It needs to be clearly defined what makes Subotica different in comparison to other cities in the region and present those advantages to investors from Israel, said Jelena Bojović.
