Subotica is a multiethnic town and a municipal region. Its population is composed of more than 20 different nationalities among which Hungarians, Serbs, Croats and Bunjevacs are the
most numerous.

It is well known that many different religions are living together for centuries in peace and harmony such as Roman Catholics, Orthodox, Protestants and others..

Subotica is the northernmost city of Serbia; it's the second largest city in population aspect on the territory of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.

The city is situated 10 km from the Serbian-Hungarian border,on the north latitude of 46° 5' 5'' and on the east longitude of 19° 39' 47''.A sandy steppe is located north from the city with fruitful orchards and vineyards on the south, and on its mould land agriculture is developing.
It is a city located in the heart of the Pannonian Plain with a long tradition and a wealthy cultural heritage.

The Municipal region, that covers the city and 18 other settlements around it, is stretched out on1.008 square kilometres.Subotica, due to its geographical location and diligent inhabitants, has become the most important administrative, industrial, trade, traffic and cultural centre in northern Bačka region and Lake Palić is thetourist-recreational centre of an even wider territory.
